Starting the race from pole position, finished Nico Rosberg with China GP winner. Condition may be different if Lewis Hamilton can not be a penalty of five grid.
Similarly, Hamilton expressed post-GP China in Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday (4/15/2012). Hamilton in the race should start from the position of the two, but an unscheduled gearbox change forced him to start from the seventh five-grid penalty as it can.
Hamilton was then able to undergo a very good race. When he touched the finish line in third position, behind Rosberg and Jenson Button.
"I believe we have to give Nico the ease of success (a champion), but the density (trajectory) and the pitstop was incredible," said Hamilton on Autosport.
Start the race in seventh made it difficult for Hamilton to compete directly with Mercedes duo in front. Despite running a three-pit strategy, the British driver was finally on the podium.
"But I'm still excited and we need to keep trying to get better results in the future."
"I think Mercedes has a velocity in good condition so it is much easier when you have a clean street in front of other drivers while on hold. (Rosberg) says if it's a pretty easy race, so I know it," Hamilton finished.
